I would say some of the models definitely would fit a 4E width. I'm close to a 2E and there is some extra room if laced loosely. The sidewalls are also structured to spread out, which may help accommodate a wider foot as well.

My only worry is that the leather upper of the hybrids may not stretch as much as other models (feels a bit more snug) and while easily working on a 2E foot, they might be too snug on a 4E foot.

I recently started using the neo trails as golf shoes - they work great - though certainly don't have as "country club" a look as the hybrids - might look to pick up the hybrids though after reading your review!

I'd say your sole ripping issue is definitely not normal. My Hybrids and Neo Trail soles have been holding up pretty well. Even though you didn't buy them directly from Terra Plana, you should still contact them about the problems. Just take some photos and explain the issue in an email to ecommerceusa@vivobarefoot.com. Hopefully they can help you out.

I love mine, best shoe I own. Only one gripe, it was hard to find them in a 45, even planetshoes.com where I got them only had one pair left. But after the second round of golf they started ripping on the bottom. One of the "cleats" tore off and started taking sole off too. Is this normal? I wish I was able to get these through Zappos or Terra Plana so I could get an easy exchange.
