The NB Minimus Life Winner is jracecar! (3/7/2011)

Jracecar or “Adam” had a bit more to say about his photo:

The photo came from me finding the worst example of a running shoe that I owned and attempting to indicate a break from that part of my life. I paint pictures on occasion, and when I do I often use razor blades to apply and remove paint. So that is oil paint on the blades I had leftover from a recent project. The bubble wrap is just something that was in the art space, and promised a much more relevant and interesting texture than the basement carpet that was the alternative.

To enter, send us a picture of your last shoes before you went minimalist or any picture of shoes that need an upgrade. We will publish the pictures and a description of the shoes in this post as they arrive.

Here is what you need to do to be entered in the drawing:

  • Take a photo of your old shoes.
  • Write one sentence about your old shoes (Perhaps why you liked them or why you replaced them).
  • Send the picture, description, and your first name or initials to
    [email protected]     from an email address where we can notify you if you win!

Be creative! You can be in the picture and be wearing the shoes if you like though the shoes should be easy to see. Write whatever you feel needs to be said about your old shoes. Note that accepted submissions will be posted below though names of submitters will be be limited to first name or initials. Your email address will not be used for any other purpose other than this contest! Rest assured! Pictures will be posted daily, or when I get around to it. The winner will be notified next Monday at the email provided and we will collect the information on where to ship the shoes at that time.

Cutoff Time: All pictures must be received by 8:00 PM (Eastern Time) Sunday, March 6th. The winner will be announced around noon on Monday, March 7th.

I vote for Todd. Feel his pain of not being able to wear 5 fingers to work. Not right…give him some feel good work shoes!

Just purchased orange NB trails … Love them so far … I am loooking for an option for golfing … Like golfing in VFFs but when there is some dew … not so fun

I wanted to place a vote for Lindsay because I know that it is said that people who run in traditional shod footwear are more prone to injury but if anyone is wondering if its true they can look at Lindsay’s pic! Dude, I think that a pair of minimalist shoes would do her some good 🙂

I vote for Andrei’s, it’s a very original picture and with sense of humor. However, I doubt you could even close that little paper bin if you throw those lunar boots in it.
