Recently, Jawa, who you might recall from his Jamaican Vibram vacation or his Las Vegas Half Marathon, ran in a Warrior Dash wearing his Vibram Five Fingers KSOs.

Jawa commented on the race:

The course was 3.08 miles long with 12 obstacles. Over 5,300 warriors raced on that day and I placed in the top 9%. Obstacles included leaping over fire, trudging through water over logs, and scrambling under barbed wire. I didn’t see anyone else at the race wearing Vibram Five Fingers.

More photos after the jump …

Way to go Jawa! I bet they will be wearing Five Fingers next year.

Hailing from College Station, Texas (Home to Texas A&M!), I grew up running cross country. Believe it or not, I gave Justin the name for this site back in early 2009 but I didn't jump on the toe shoes bandwagon until a year later. I am also really into quadcopters and drones and have a blog called OddCopter.com.

Glad to see this posting. I am doing the RunAmuck this weekend in my Treks. Was hoping that the mud obstacles would not be a problem and seems that way from Jawa’a report. I’ll also be doing the Warrior Dash come October.

I’ll be wearing either my KSOs, or should the fates smile on me, a pair of Bilkas in the Southeast Warrior Dash in May. Nice to see Jawa’s Vibrams fared the fire obstacle.

Jawa – VERY cool!

The NW Warrior Dash has yet to be announced and I’m SO ready for it. I’m chomping at the bit – the date is not until July!

I also plan to participate in my KSOs. You’re an inspiration. Congrats on the top 9% !! oooh-RAH!

Doing warrior dash in my KSOs on Saturay in Dallas! Hoping the noxious stench from my feet knocks off some of my competitors…

glad to hear it – i’m doing the tough mudder this coming weekend in mine (7 miles and lots of similar things to crawl over, under, through, etc.).

Sweet!
I’ll be doing the Rockies Warrior Dash when August comes around, in my brown KSO’s. I’ve been really excited for it and am super glad to hear that they fared well.
Hoping to see some other people with Vibrams since they seem to be rather popular up here.

Oh man, sweet!! My sister and I run in VFF’s KSO’s and we’re doing the Warrior Dash this weekend in Dallas!!! So Excited, can’t wait!!!
