My wife surprised me earlier this week with Ohio State v. Miami tickets. It was a beautiful day in Columbus Ohio for a beat down of "The U". Spent the day at an awesome tailgate some of my friends threw on Lane and Neil where I was surprised at the positive reaction my Bikilas got from my friends and friends of friends. I usually don't wear my VFFs in social settings just to avoid the inevitable conversation. However one of the main reasons I chose the colors red (scarlet) and gray Bikilas was to wear them to Ohio State games. Most people were really curious and said they had looked into them but were nervous to give them a try, I think I may have given some people the confidence to get a pair of vffs. All in all it was a great day and I really enjoyed wearing my VFFs all day.
It's funny how often you hear the people around you talking about your shoes.
Also a shout out to the guy I sat next to at the game who noted in his blackberry that they were the perfect gift for his runner fiancé along with Born to Run and birthdayshoes.com.

Too bad my feet smelled so bad at the end of the day that I couldn't wear them to Kinds Island on Sunday.
