Okay, so this probably isn't recommended, but I wore my old tatty pair of Vivobarefoot Lucy's to participate in a game of Battlefield Live at the weekend (Laser guns, combat camouflage gear, woodland location, two teams of eight, very competitive, lots of fun.)

The shoes didn't provide me with the greatest grip, and I did get a bramble thorn or two poke me in the side of the foot, but otherwise I had fun! (And was amused at some of the regular shoe-wearing participants complaining how their feet were aching after scrambling up and down slopes and skidding around in the dirt. Apart from the brambles my feet felt just fine. My backside however is perhaps a little bit bruised from throwing myself on the floor a few times to avoid enemy fire...!  Grin

Seems like an opportunity for a new product: Vibram Two Cheeks.  Wink

EDIT: Thinking on this further... sizing might be even more of a problem with those than with VFFs.

Heh, if they marketed them, I'd probably want the Trek version for the slightly thicker material...!

Most people do not want a ruler anywhere near their posterior.  The Vibram big foot immediately came to mind.  I think a Vibram big butt device would be hilarious to say the least.

I am sure I am botching this, as I had to use Google translator to translate Butt Cheeks into Italian.  Introducing Vibrams latest innovative product.

Though thinking about I think I'd prefer all the cushioning I could get for that part of the body -  so how about Nike A$$ Max?  Grin

Nike would probably attach springs so if you fell you'd bounce right back up.  LOL
