Cross country season ended so im gonna share my story:

I always kinda liked running, but would only do a mile or two here and there until i decided i would run cross country for my senior year. i started goin to the optional summer practices (only two days a week) and began to enjoy it, but was always hurting from shinsplints. I remember seeing VFFs for the first time and thought there is no way in hell i'd ever wear those...but i was wrong, and mid july i got a pair of KSOs. I transitioned into them very quickly (with TOFP as my consequence) and was running in them full time by the end of august when regular season began. by mid september i was pain free and started to LOVE running. i trained real hard all season and saw pretty good results. officially, my PR is 22:10 but my best performance was on a cross country course (much more difficult than the road race) where i ran a 22:30. not bad for a half year of running i'd say. and since i had the best attendence i will be recieving an award when the banquet comes around...I can't wait to see all the parent's faces when they see the best attendence award went to somebody who ran with no padding on their feet all season  Grin

Gnarly! I just converted a friend who is in his senior year of XC. He already runs barefoot though. So now he just only wears vff for crazy terrain courses.

Cool dude!
