Paintball!

Well, I figure my first post here might as well be what I like to do most in my VFFs.

I'm 18 and I play a lot of (never enough) paintball. I usually wear my KSO Treks to play, they get much better traction than my standard KSOs.

Last weekend I went and played at a field that was converted from a limestone mine - that was pretty sweet. I took a helmet camera video of the action.

My toes got a little soggy, which I've kind of found to be standard for walking in wetness... I didn't think it was a big deal. When I got back to the hotel room, I noticed this:



Yum.

Then I looked over my Treks and found out that the inside fabric on the big toe has separated from the rubber on both feet. Just the big toes, the rest of the seams are fine.

What kind of glue do you recommend to stick them back together with?

Other than that, I love them. I've worn them pretty much nonstop since Christmas last year.

So yeah, that's what I do in my VFFs.

get some shoeglue from a hardware shop near you and it should be fine on the note of paintballing though it looks like your good I've only gone once or twice with my cousins and was out very quick and the camera might i suggest Go Pro you can get multiple types of harnesses and what not to strap it to your body and comes in a protective case that won't get ruined when shot i use it when i go white water kayaking and never lost or broken it.

This thread also talks about some shoe glue. I'd suggest fabri-tac from Joanns fabrics as I did in that thread. Works seamlessly (pun intended).

how are they for slides? i still wear shoes for 'balling to get some more protection when sliding, my field uses astro and some fairly uneven grass with the odd rock, which gets very hard in the summer, and swampy in the winter. also means i don't have to worry about where im putting my feet in a tournament. i suspect the odd toe shot would hurt too.

I have some Shoe-Glue laying around, just wasn't sure if it was good enough to make repairs. I'll look into Fabri-Tac as well.
Echo, I only slid a couple times that night, but between playing Paintball and Ultimate Frisbee on multiple occasions they seem to hold up pretty well, and I have pretty tough feet on average so I didn't notice any out of the ordinary pain. I got asked about toe shots many time but never actually got one. I keep my feet in tight.
