Just another reason why ill say GO GIANTS! Tebow and his fans get huge eyerolls and headshakes from me.

Yesterday I ran 5mi and lifted chest/back/abs in my new bikilas. My foot hurts today, which is aggravating bc I still want to train for a half. May have to do it in my nike frees or cross train some more (just got some cycling shoes!). Tonight ill do yoga barefoot! Maybe stretching will help my foot

i have been wearing my treksports to school all day recently, and after 8 hours wearing them walking around a college campus my feet (right arch this time) hurt a bit and i have a few hot spots. I think i could have had them tighter because i tightened them at the end of the day and they felt better after i tightened them, so i clearly didnt have them as tight as i could have. It just shows my feet need a good deal more strengthening, which just means more five fingers use lol. I will be wearing them to the gym (and probably end up wearing them the rest of the day as well) with me tomorrow morning. lets see how many comments i get and how many other people with vibrams i see Grin my friends will probably think im weird as hell if i start talking to a random person at the gym just because they have the same freaky toe shoes i do. oh well, they just dont know lol.

Honestly that crossed my mind 5-10 minutes after the run. It wouldve been worth it too, next week or the week after for sure!!

just finished my first non stop mile run in my vibrams (pretty small achievement i know lol). before this i would go 1/2 a mile, my feet would hurt so i would stop for about 5 minutes then do another 1/2 a mile. i am not sure exactly what i did this time, but after the first 1/2 my feet fell fine, my calves were all good and my arch wasn't tight and painful at all so i said awesome, ill just go for another lap. I think after watching that video on proper barefoot running technique i realized i wasn't kicking my legs up enough for just a regular jog/run pace so i started thinking about kicking up more. I naturally have pretty dam good leg muscles so those never hurt, but its always my arch on one of my feet that start to hurt after i run so that usually stops me. this time i only felt my arch start to hurt the last 10 feet running up to my front door, so i must have been doing something right. Grin

i see that the thing really holding my back more than not being adjusted for barefoot running is my endurance. Even after a mile i was fairly winded, my throat was burning and i started to get a cramp in my right side. Basically all the signs of an out of shape cardio vascular system. i have never had good running endurance so i never enjoyed running enough to improve it, but im hoping i can build that up quickly so i can do a mile without being so winded and breathing so hard. My current goal is to get good enough to where i can run the 3.5ish miles to work, get there and not be exhausted and collapse, work without my feet hurting the whole time, then be able to run back. that would be amazing.

EDIT: Spring break is next week and im going to do a mile at least once a day every day of the week, i should see some good improvement after that week lol

Congrats!  I did my first mile on Feb 11.  Once I decided I can run a mile I jumped into week 3 of C25K.  I am now in week 7 and running 2.5 consecutive miles.  Keep on going and I definitely suggest the program.

Well you guys are just rippin' and rollin' I'm still working up to my first mile, as of now its 1/4, short rest and another 1/4. I'm pretty sure my lungs are still kinda weak from when I used to smoke and never got back active outside of work until recently.

Played at the local badminton club last night. I had a couple of really good games, though I'm still pretty rusty. Between all of my moving around the country it was tough to find a place to play regularly. The local club has a good skill level, and I am definitely a work in progress to get back on form. I made some strides last night with my positioning, and reading the plays. Court position is the hardest thing to get down.

I may have to wear my Nike frees to the next session on Sunday to give my feet a break. They ache a little bit today. I'm just getting active again so I'll need to be careful with them.
