Anyone heard of the brand Cusche?  They have some mocs on sale at Leftlanesports.com  Has anyone here reviewed them or anyone have them.  I can't find a minimalist review on google.  They also have some "surf shoes" that look mysteriously like a minimalist running shoe.  I like the look of the mocs and want some without having to pay/order/wait for some soft stars just yet.

They are not really minimal.  They have a thick cushioned sole.  I also think the toe box would be too small.  I thought about doing a review of them but they don't fit enough of the minimalist checkpoints to be worth it.

I did a bunch of research on them and could never get good numbers.  Which leads me to believe that they don't really consider them minimal.  I think they are more like lifestyle sandals or something.

They are just regular shoes...there is nothing minimalist about them.  Shortly after starting to wear VFFs I tried a pair because, based on the pictures, I thought they might work out, and I wanted something a little more normal-looking for certain occasions.  The style I tried had about as much cushioning and support as Keens and was narrower to boot.  Ouch!  So, I would say pay the extra $20 or $30 and go with the Soft Stars.  They are awesome and definitely worth the wait and extra money.
