Does anyone know where i can find either a book, website, or any other resource about how to begin training for a marathon? Specifically looking for a calendar or schedule on when, how much and how far to run during training and possibly a meal/fuel plan?
thanks.

As far as training plans, here are a few:

www.halhigdon.com

www.marathonrookie.com

Smart Coach at www.runnersworld.com

As far as nutrition, check out Nancy Clark's books.

Hal Higdon's is a free plan - I have used it for the Half Marathon and found it to be just great! It is very straightforward and easy to understand for the Novice.

I'd 2nd Halhigdon's plans.  In fact I'm using one of his marathon plans again for my, hopefully, 7th marathon (1st in vff's).
