And.... Just bought these yesterday Cute dog and VFFs! How are you liking the Jayas? I'm looking forward to eventually getting a pair. Did you get a size down from the classics/sprints?

And.... Just bought these yesterday Yay, standard Jaya in black! How do they look? Can they be dressed up a bit, or are they definitely casual shoes? For reference, I feel my almond Jaya LR can be "dressed up" - worn with my semi-casual dresses - but the Sprints, Classics, KSOs, etc. wouldn't work with them.

That's better!!! My daughter LOVES her Jaya's in black. Her Smartwools and KSO's get a lot of shelf time since we got them. I see a pup dog. It's given me an idea for a new thread. I'll get it started tomorrow. Right now it's time to cuddle in front of a fire and watch a movie.

I LOVE them so far. They fit perfect and they are nice and light. I had been wearing Smartwool classics for the cooler months, but now that its in the mid 70's or higher each day, the smartwools were just too warm and were really starting to stink. I have the Jaya in a size 39. I think I am in between the 38 and 39. To get an idea of size here is what else I have: KSO's - 39 (They are a little loose now, I think my arch grew a bit) Bikila's - 38 Smartwool Classics - 39 (I believe Smartwools were a little smaller than regular Classics) And.... I bought the Jayas in hopes that I could wear them with with my sundresses when I go on a vacation to Mexico this summer. I would really like to get a pair of white ones, as I think those would go a little nicer with the sundress idea, since they don't stick out as much I guess. I did a little photo shoot with sundresses so you could see what it looks like. I'm not 100% sure how I feel about the look, my boyfriend said he doesn't like it. (I just got out of the shower so ignore my crazy hair haha)

I just washed and cleaned my Smartwools to be stored away for the summer, I found them to be way too warm for temperatures > 60 degrees. Here's a fun puppy picture just for you

I'd do the almond with most of my dresses, with the black Jaya just for the black ones / ones that wouldn't work great with the almond. Thanks for the pictures!

They look great! I like the sleekness of the black, but I think I'm still leaning towards the almond Jaya LRs. And thanks for the sizing info! I tried on some 39 Black Jayas a few weeks ago (I'm 30 in Sprints), and they felt a little big, though while walking in the store they didn't slip and were still quite comfy. I might've gotten them had they not been overpriced (I think with converting it came out to over $120 USD). I didn't know the Smartwools got too warm in the heat. I guess I shouldn't look more into getting them since I wouldn't be able to try them on and I live in pretty warm places most of the year. It's really nice to see how these shoes look with bare legs, pants, dresses, etc, so a big thanks to you and equiraptor for the pictures!

$120.... I only paid $63 for my daughters at my local brick in mortar. They are normally $85 and I have a standing discount.

Once I'm back in the US in a few months I'll check out all the nearby sports stores and REI and see what they have in stock and the prices!

Went kayaking for the first time today this season - and fell in to the chilly MN late April water. Oh well...thankfully it was just a creek I was exploring that was only a foot and a half deep, and not the lake I had been in that the photo was taken in.

Ran up the Athabaska/Clearwater River Valley above my hometown of Fort McMurray, AB. The camera phone doesn't really do the valley justice. It's a brutal hill, and I'm taking a breather at the top. So glad it's finally spring here. It went from below freezing to 18 degrees and beautiful in about 2 weeks. My first couple of trail runs have been amazing so far, beats the heck out of running indoors!!
