This isn't going to do anything. You have to vote with your dollars, and no, that does not mean avoiding VFFs. Each time a return is made Vibram is hearing about it, honestly they couldn't care much about 250 online signatures with the speed at which their shoes are shipping. What they do care about is when distributors and dealers start getting frustrated, and what they do care about is lost revenue due to returned items that have to be discarded or used for scrap. That means if your shoes are defective, don't live with it, send them in! What is with people getting tears two days after purchase and trying to fix it? That is the worst possible response.
well, i'm doing that too... but i'd rather sign the petition than not sign it. basically, it can't hurt, so why not do it?
Exactly right. There's truth to what Vlad says about the fact that retailers listen most to the bottom line, but to send your shoes back and wait for the numbers to "do the talking" is not the alternative, it's another tool. If you are truly up in arms about the quality issues, then make use of any and every venue you can! Twitter and YouTube have steered public opinion on bigger issues than this one. Forums, petitions, calls and emails to Vibram...it all adds up.
So far, I've had no quality issues of my own *knock wood*...but I see what others are experiencing and feel it worth voicing my concern. If returning our shoes was the only solution, then I have no voice...my shoes are working fine, thanks.
