I was looking for information on Vibram Fivefingers and came across the Fivefingers Surge. How come these aren't on Vibram's website, I can't find much information on them.

they're all over ebay. My guess is they are an old model and probably one of the firsts. They look like a boot.

They're a discontinuned model. It's essntially a flow with a high ankle cover and 3 velcro straps to secure the boot.

They might be good for the winter. I wonder if they have any plans of releasing a winter shoe.

I have a pair of Surges and Flows, and like the Flows MUCH better. Between the discontinued Surge and the Flow model design, Vibram changed the stitching pattern on their neoprene shoe. I find that the Surge is not as flexible and bites a little bit into the top of the foot. There are no such problems with the stitching on the Flow.

Is the flow a lot warmer than the KSO?

The Flows are considerably warmer than KSOs. I have both. I can easily wear the Flows (with socks) in below 0 degrees Celsius (not much below 0 though). The Flows have a neoprene upper and a slightly thicker sole, too, than the KSOs.
