We can't get them yet in EU. However, I'd suggest spy'ree-don rather than spih-rih'don. I assume your "aa" is the schwa "ə" sound?

The alternatives rhyme with "spirit-on" or "spy-ridden". The other question is whether or not it was designed to sound right when pronounced according to the rules of Italian spelling.

Then again, the USA pronounces Nissan as knee-sawn, so all bets are off.

I finally got a pair of Spyridons today. They feel very nice, and very rugged. They fit a bit tighter than the KSO's, but They still remain true to size. Overall, a very impressive shoe.

Personally I always thought Spy-rih-don... kinda sounded like a dinosaur to me.  never considered Spee-rih-don.

Got mine a few days ago. They are now my favorite pair of VFFs. I wish I could replace all my VFFs trek soles with this new one it is such an improvement. They do stand out a bit more though so I find I get far more comments on them which is ok but worth mentioning.

Got mine!  I have a gravel driveway and they do a very good job on it.  I can't even try to wear my KSO's on my driveway.  The Trek sole on most of my VFF's still does a better job as far as stone bruising, but I love the added protection along with the flexibility of the Spyridon sole.  I would gladly give up the Trek sole for an all Spyridon lineup!!

I'm basing my pronunciation on how I've heard the name said over the years in reference to Spyridon Lewis, for whom the shoe was named.  But who knows if they are correct?
