I could only guess that the bright toe fabric was used specifically to get more attention. More "word of mouth" business. Which is probably why they basically only offered a black/black to cater to people who want the shoes to be less obvious altogether.

Now that toe shoes are becoming known, I think we might see the trend tapering off? Maybe more loud branding if anything. Or maybe they'll want to accentuate the last two toes to be distinct from FILA...

This might also explain why a lot of colorways are becoming black only. Perhaps they're taking people wanting less toe attention as wanting black models? *shrug*

If those bikila ls are real then I find it really odd. I found the picture out of a bunch of counterfeits. I guess the sole is stupid easy to copy compared to the multicolored ones. I checked VFF italy and you're right. Then again  I don't really pay attention to the women's sizes because my foot is EE or Eee width.

As far as the komodosports go the reason black uppers work better is because of the black rubbery covering on the last two toes. All Komodosports LS have the sides of the last two pockets in black except for the coral women's one. You can see the difference in coloring quite clearly on the grey and neon pink ones.

As far as the adidss go both you and I know that is just so they don't get sued. People will wear them outside.

that's pretty odd that more styles aren't like that. but this thread really has gotten me thinking that I would really prefer more styles to have colors without flashy colors between the toes like the black/yellow KSs have. I might look and see if i fit into the womens Komodosport LS, i have a 42 in most of my VFF, so i might just fit. It's not like it is a feminine color scheme, and i really like the colors of them.

I actually agree. I'm not too talkative so I would definitely like a color scheme that hides the toes a bit while not necessarily being pure black.
I'm jealous of your sizing! I wish I were able to fit into men's sizes. Sometimes they have better colors on sale... But you're right. Both yellow and black are very gender neutral. I think only yellow and green are allowed to be both bright and gender neutral. Any other color and it's too bright and girlish ha.
