Mr. Leigh, I am glad that you revived this one! I hope someone soon reports seeing me! I wore my Bikilas to the local Menards last night and one guy working there almost had his eyeballs pop out of his head when he saw me!
Haha!!

I've seen a few folks around here in Southern Maryland - a couple of runners and a couple of people out shopping at Lowes. If you're going to see U2 in Baltimore tonight, look for ME in black/cammo KSO's!!!

Never saw one pair in Germany and I doubt that I will see some in the near future On the other hand it's funny how I do not give attention to shoes at all. Try to ask yourself "what shoes was that guy wearing?"... maybe because I'm a guy lol Only when I'm in Vibrams I think everyone is watching me

I work for a beer house here in Omaha, and while I was making a delivery I came across a guy in a supermarket I was delivering to wearing blue camo KSO's. I stopped him and chatted with him for a couple of minutes and told him about this site I hope he checked it out.

I have seen a few people at my gym, just one or two.
I am at work (shhh) and just xrayed a lady in rainbow toe socks. I wondered to myself if she had fivefingers but waiting until I brought her back to the exam room and peeked in to see her shoes- sure enough she had some blue bikilas! (or Kso's, didn't get a good look). That made my day.
Edit: Ironically, she was being seen for back pain. Hmm.. Either way though, she didn't seem as obsessed as I. But then again it is a Dr's office!

Well not exactly a sighting but a feature: I was reading my daily free paper (it's called 24 heures) and it had an article on the fivefingers, explaining how there was an epidemic of people getting injuries with them, but they explained (quoting Harvard specialists) that it was not the fault of the shoe but of people misusing them and continuing to heel strike or transitioning too quick.

I've seen a few people here in Washington wearing them as well. Someone running in what I believed were KSOs. I've also seen some of the Red Bikila models and a few of the Kangaroo Leather varieties. Yesterday, I saw someone wearing the KSO Treksport Models immediately after entering REI. I was envious because I wasn't wearing a pair at the time. Glad to know I'm not alone, and that these are becoming more prevalent.

So the other day I went to the Georgia Dome in Atlanta for the Drum Corps International Regional competition. For those of you who dod not know what that is check out www.dci.org Anyway, I ran into 8 other people also wearing different forms of the vff. Everything from the classic to the bikila and of course the kso. Fun times! Yeah drum corps!!! I attended the Midwest Championship 4 years running until they changed it I saw quite a few people at my university (Butler Univ) wearing them... I'd say 5-10 throughout the year! Up north where I live I'm the only one I know of with them, but my co-worker is getting a pair at the recommendation of her foot doctor (she runs voraciously and just had foot surgery).

One day I was wearing my Sprints in Guitar Center with a friend of mine and he was talking to some fellow firefighters who were there buying DJ gear. I was off playing with keyboards while they were fooling around in pro audio and I came back out of curiosity to see if they were done and they said, "We just saw another guy with shoes like yours." I got the typical reaction from them beforehand. I never got the chance to see or talk to the other person though... A couple days later I was helping someone move and saw someone running against traffic like normal but something seemed weird about his shoes. When I saw him up close I noticed he was wearing what looked to be KSOs.

I've seen a guy in black/red treksports at the gym a few times, and I was running next to him on the treadmill the other day. I'm not sure if he's ran in them before, it didn't look so good. His strides were really long and he was landing on his heels very hard, and his treadmill was really noisy and shaky. He's a trainer of sorts, I always see him working with the same friend, and giving a ton of pointers.
Anyways after he finished I gave him a couple of pointers, about taking quicker, shorter strides, and to watch how I was running in my komodosports. Hopefully he didn't hurt himself too badly, but I'm sure his feet were pretty tender after his run.

I passed a couple of bicyclists yesterday and noticed that one appeared to be wearing VFF's. A while later I was on my return trip and passed the couple again. This time they were standing at an intersection and I was going slow enough to confirm that the man was wearing leather KSO Treks. Wish I could have stopped an asked how he like cycling with them.

this just happened to me about 10 minutes ago. i was walking around campus (while wearing my treksports) and saw this dude with walking past with some komodosports. i thought i would be funny and jokingly make the comment "those are some weird ass shoes" expecting him to notice my weird ass looking shoes as well. he said oh ya, thanks. i thought he was going to stop and say something else back and we were going to get into some sweet conversation, so i began to laugh at the surely humerus meeting. but to my dismay he kept walking! he clearly had not noticed my vibrams and i felt so bad for laughing without him realizing i was wearing them too. he probably thought i was laughing at him or his shoes:'( i really hope our paths cross again so i can clarify why i appeared to be such an asshole.
i work in retail, and dont wear my Vibrams at work for a few reasons. but when ever I see someone walk through with five fingers i always say something like "hey, nice Vibrams!" and for some reason it seems like people cant imagine other people like their shoes unless they are wearing some also. At most all i get is a confused "oh thanks". I get the feeling that they all think im weird.

I never have seen anyone wearing them casually, but sometimes when I am running I will catch someone wearing them. WE seem to both look each other in the eye and then give each other a 'low five.' I even have convinced like six friends to buy them, but they are all too embarrassed to wear them in public. Oh well, at least this thread isn't about huarache sightings in public. That would just be me....
