I am a salsa dancer/instructor.  Dancers need smooth soled shoes for spinning & sliding around on the dance floor (usually wood).  Some dance shoes like ballroom dancing shoes have suede bottoms which are great for spinning.

I tried dancing in my VFF's, but they have way too much grip.  FeelMax looks pretty smooth on the bottom, but I'm not sure how much grip they have.  Any suggestions for minimalist shoes that can spin or slide on smooth floors?

Hmm, most of the Vivo barefoot shoes have very grippy rubber bottoms so that wouldn't be a good fit.

 Huh

How about Dance Paws? (Or is that too minimalist?)

Good idea.  Those would be fun, but dangerous on a crowded dance floor.  I've danced barefoot before & got stepped on by high heels.  My foot was bruised & got cut.  Not doing that again.  Even when wearing leather shoes, getting stepped on by a big dude, or sharp high heels can hurt.

 Huh

I'm confused, my Aquas have very poor grip, especially indoors.
The soles are very non-grippy in my experience, it's one of my few gripes with them.

The dharmas were too grippy for dancing.

maybe you can mod some sprints by gluing suede on the bottom. Thats what Im going to do when I wear down my kso's grip.  Kind of like when barefoot Ted put those sticky sandpaper things on the pad of his vff's.

... gluing suede on the bottom...

great idea.  i totally forgot about that.  dancers do it all the time to regular shoes in order to make them "danceable".  duh!  thanks!

My neighbor, a dance instructor, loves using her Performas in the dance studio, definitely less grippy than the outdoor models.
