Merrell's Gloves - ever any discount?

I am a member of places like Leftlane Sports, DepartmentOfGoods and TheClymb, so I get to buy shoes like Vivobarefoot for awesome prices.

I have never seen any of the "barefoot" Merrell line or NB Minimus line on discounts. Do they exist? I just got my running partner transitioning over to minimalist shoes, and due to minimal money available to be spent on shoes, I am trying to keep an eye out for him for good prices.

Why these two lines?  Because the toe boxes are a perfect width for him.  He tried on Innov8's Road X 155, NB Minimus Road, and NB Minimus Trail and found them too narrow (Trail was closest to comfort for him).  He ended up buying NB Minimus Trail MultiSport, and is working on breaking them in.  I had him try on Merrell's Trail Glove, and he LOVED them, but since he just got the MultiSport, he has to wait.

He thought the Saucony Hattori were insanely comfy, but he was 99% sure he would rip through the uppers, due to how thin the mesh is, so we had to nix those.  As soon as we get to a store that sells them, I will be having him try on VB (esp since I can get them at great prices from the above retailers when they have Flash sales), so we can get him fitted - with his width, we don't want to buy blindly.  I don't think he is ready for Stems yet. He tried on Bikilas, and while he loved VFFs, he said he's not ready for them yet (understandable). We are still transitioning him.

Anyways, back to the original point of this post - anyone know of places with good sales on Merrell's?

I would say he could try the Hattori AW (all weather) which is supposed to have a neoprene/polyamide like upper instead of mesh.
