Has anyone ever run in Huaraches? I never have but have heard good things. I don't really like the look though, I prefer VFFs from the aesthetic POV.

I'd like to try huaraches out -- it's on my long list of to-dos as far as trying out alt-minimalist footwear.  For some reason, I actually like the aesthetics of huaraches.  Go figure.

To be completely honest I think I prefer how VFFs look, but that's just me. "4mm Cherry Vibram sole" sounds really good though, for some reason (I'm not sure why...)

I think what I dig about huaraches is that they are so basic. To me there is a beauty in the simplicity of their design -- even remote indigenous peoples can construct them from old tires and a bit of leather.  They also look like throwbacks to ancient times. 

Not quite as high tech as VFFs though.  FWIW I like the aesthetics of VFFs better, too.  But we're really talking about apples and oranges!

I'm pretty sure now that I'm going to get a kit from BFted sometime in the near future...I'd like to try huaraches out at least. And I agree w/apples and oranges sentiment!
