Although I've had my VFF Flows for about a year I really haven't had time to condition myself to them. Now that I'll be state side for a while it's time to get started. I am a military instructor and have noticed quite a few of the "kids" wearing VFF as well. I'm glad to see these things really taking root. My only issue is with some of the old guys who run the fitness centers at some bases saying you can't wear them.

Have fun with the flows, and welcome back!   I don't know what branch you're with, but that's the case with the AF anyway. I'm a civ at the moment (OTS later this year), but luckily my current base allows them in the gym. I'm hearing it's up to each installation commander, and it's not an AF-wide policy. Going with racing flats for OTS though.

Just take your time, and if you're interested in running in them, I can tell you from personal experience it's better to spend time running completely barefoot in the beginning for conditioning and running form purposes.
