I have a pair of M42 classics and when I got them they fit but not that snug. Now since my feet have shrank a little, it leave a gap in the heel. I can put my finger behind my heel to fill up the space. According the the ruler my foot is 10" and on the VFF foot measurer I now come to a 40 but just at 40. Now should my next pair of classics be a 40 or a 41?

If you can I would try on a pair in each size. That is your best solution.
I shrunk some from a size 43 to a 42. Now I can wear both comfortably. I don't know if I would be brave enough to step down two sized with out trying them on.

I measure to 10 1/4 and I wear M40 in KSO and M41 in Classics. If you measure a 10, then you are in a M40 in Classic according to Vibram.

What did your feet originally measure prior to the shrinkage, when you determined that you were a M42 in Classics? I have a little wiggle room in the heel of my M41 Classics, but I recently acquired a pair of M40 Classics to try and they are uncomfortably snug around the elastic cord. They fit fine length wise, they just pinch the top of my foot. I am debating if removing the elastic would allow me to wear them comfortably or not. I'd hate to modify a perfectly good pair and still not be able to wear them. If I cannot wear them come next summer, they may be up for sale on the forums.

10.25" when at end of the day or ~10-10.125" at the beginning; M40 here in KSO Black and M42 (26.5cm) in Merrell sizing with about 3/16" to spare

I originally had M41 smartwools but ended up hurting the tops of my feet and big toe because it was right at the tip. So when I exchanged them through Vibram, I opted for the 42's so i wouldn't run into the same situation but didn't know the SW ran a little smaller then regular ones. They fit ok for awhile but then after about a year they have gotten looser in the back. My M41 Flows are big on me now and has room in the heel as well. Proof of how being barefoot/wearing minimalist shoes can make your feet shrink a little. I used to be at the 41 mark on the sizing thingy.

Is anyone interested, or does anyone know of anybody interested in switching shoes for a mismatch pair
I have a pair of black men's KSOs and my left foot is 42 and right foot is 43.
I have a brand new pair of 42 and I'm looking for anyone who wants to switch
ME (Left 42, Right 43)
YOU (Left 43, Right 42)...
I currently own the 42s to clarify

but i can't because my left foot is like a 10 1/2 or 3/4" to my longest toes and my right is 11". hahahah

I'm getting Speeds for xmas and I went with a M41 considering they said the fit was like the Bikila LS and I tried a M40 with the LS's and they were tight. Will know when they get here if they are the right size and I do plan on wearing socks off and on with them.
