My left foot is a full vff size smaller than the right. Is there any kind of heel insert that would be recommended to fix this? I wear these for climbing and my right foot works awesome, but my left toe has too much slop to get a good footing. I was going to experiment with some cut pieces of foam, but a legitimate insert that might velcro in place and be made of a comfortable material would be strongly preferred.

I go barefoot, but my dog wears shoes.

As expensive as it might be you might be better off buying another pair in a size smaller or trying to swap sizes with someone else.

Jonathon - have you looked at the gel heel inserts by Dr Scholls?

http://www.drscholls.com/drscholls/productSearch.do?method=doProductDetailsLookup&searchArg=45

They're fairly cheap at Walmart's - http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=1115513&findingMethod=rr

Might do the trick.
