So, I recently started wearing a pair of Bikila LS.  They fit just like the company says they should.  My foot measures just a hair under 11 and 3/4 of an inch.  I went with the 46 VFF and they work great.  I was thinking of picking up something that I might be able to wear as a pseudo dress or business casual shoe (Speed or Trek LS suggestions welcome).  My biggest problem with fit is the width of my foot (in standard shoes I wear a 13 4E), I have read that the Speed should be upsized at least one size and probably two if you have really wide feet so that would be out for me most likely.  Just wondering what others might suggest, I can put specific measurements of my foot up if that would help, but it's pretty much fat every where, (wide, high instep, wide ball of foot).  The Bikila LS fits snugly, the toe pockets fit they way they should, and the rest of the shoe hugs my foot pretty well.  It isn't uncomfortable, and I have never had lines or indents from wearing them all day.  I picked up the Bikila locally on closeout because they weren't selling.  Needless to say the retailer wasn't exactly warm to the idea of special ordering me several pairs of the same shoe so I could get one that fits.  So mail order is going to be the way I go, don't wan to have to pay for a bunch of returns.  Thanks for any input, and sorry for the lengthy post!

Hello, nice to know from you, about the shoes, I have found that the Euro sugestion is more accurate, but with all, you might have to try them on before ordering in order to have the correct size  Smiley

If it helps any, I picked up a pair of the KSOs in grey while traveling.  I bought them in a 47 and they fit great as well.  The 46 was tight around the ankle.  I have been seeing some comments that the Speeds run close to the sizing of the Sprints, so if I could find a pair of them would I be able to at least get an idea of sizing for the speeds?  Any input is appreciated.  Thanks again.

Speeds run the same size as teh Bikila LS.  They are based on the same sole patter.  I own both pairs and they fit exactly the same.

Hope that helps

Thanks for the info! I'll order them in the same size as the Bikila LS then.  Thanks again!

I just wanted to post a quick update.  I went with some friends over the weekend to visit their parents.  I was able to find a store that carried VFF's and they had the speed.  It is VERY narrow and tight on the instep compared to the Bikila LS.  The biggest the store had was a 47, and I couldn't get it tied it was so narrow.  I am not planning on ordering the speeds anymore.  I might look at the mens Trek, or just end up going with Softstar for something that can be worn in a more business/dress environment.  Thanks for the input on the speeds.

Yea I don't like the speeds either.  They are my lest favorite pair of VFF to wear.  They feel tighter then the others.  My 43 Speed fits like the size 42 Bikila LS in length.  I like the way the speed looks but I never really wear my pair.  They do kind of stretch some once you wear them around.  Take a look at the Bikila LS or the KomodoSport LS.  The Trek LS is the same as the Speed with a Trek Sole and a Leather upper.  So if those did not fit you in the speed they will likely not fit you in the Trek LS.  A black or brown pair of KSO Trek would work well.  They look nice enough too you could wear them to work.

I agree with Bearfooted on the KSO Treks. I wear mine to work everyday and they work great. I just wish they had a leather upper with the regular KSO sole instead of the Trek sole. Oh well, I'll take what I can get.

How much tighter is the instep on the KSO Trek? I assume that being leather it will stretch, but I hate having a pinched foot feeling.  I did upsize when I got a pair of the regular KSOs as the one that was my size was a little more tight than I was comfortable with.  I have found a couple of videos that show the differences in width between the two, but hearing what others think here is always great.  I do like the look of them.  Thanks for the input.
