US Shoe Size to VFF Size Conversion charts

Let me qualify this post by saying that US shoe sizes are absolutely horrible for determining VFF sizes. Every manufacturer has a different measurement for sizes. This guide is only meant to be used as that: a guide. I do not expect this to be perfect.

I highly suggest you measure the foot with an accurate ruler to find the right fit.

Hmm.  I think there must be a LOT of variation in shoe sizes, because that chart does not work at all for me.

I wear a W39 across the board (Sprints, KSOs, and Treks), and am an 8.5 (right foot) and a 9 (left foot) in women's shoes.

Many people in the exact opposite situation as well based on the other thread that this was in. As I said this is just meant as a guide. Every shoe company does sizes differently. Best way is to measure the foot. If you think this is a more accurate US shoe size to inch chart point me to it and I can put it here.

I know this is a question of tradition and other issues, but I do not understand well why all this mess with sizing.

I think the japanese system is better, as the use the foot size in mm (I would use for example a 305-310).

It would be much easier for everybody adopting this sizing either in metric or imperial units. This way, I would be a 12, and shoemakers should guarantee that a size 12 shoe fits a size 12 foot!.

from your guide, my foot measures 10.5" exactly. but i wear a size 11 in nike shoes.

But according to google 10.5 inches = 26.67 cm = size 8.5 or 9 in nike according to that chart.
