My left VFF strap gets very tight when I slightly tighten it up! It digs against my big left toe and now it's starting to hurt quite a lot, especially when my left toe is pressed against. Is there something wrong with my classics?! Also my right one is fine and I have to tighten both for running otherwise they will start to come off if I pick up the pace a bit.

Sorry that no one has commented.  Perhaps no one has experienced this same issue.  I wear Classics all summer long and I never tighten the strap, but I am also not running in them.  Could it be that you ordered a size too small?  I typically wear a M41 in Classics and I got a steal of a deal on a pair of M40s at the end of last summer.  When I tried them on I felt pain from the elastic, and that was without them even being tightened.  Had I actually pulled the cord I might have experienced what you are describing.

I don't have this problem but as I sit here wearing my classics, I think the elastic cord is too short. Either when it was sewn together or if it somehow shrink or if the compartment that houses it is bunching up, the elastic does not sound like it has the range it should.

I can pull the elastic cord a good 4 inches back from the heel tab with no discomfort.

How long have you had them?

I have a similar experience, but with my right. When I tighten the cord it presses into the top of my foot and starts to become uncomfortable as it is pressing on the tendon that run to the top of my big toe. Maybe try only tightening the right one in your case be fore your next run. I have run in my classics but have decided to not touch the cord, they have not fallen off but do feel a bit loose. Sorry I could not supply a solution.

There definitely not to small as I cant sprint in them/run fast without them coming off or being loose.
Elastic cord might to be too short, not a bad shout.
I've had the classic's for just over a month now.
