Hi,

So I've just started running in the last month (using C25K) with my VFF Bikila LS and have actually quite enjoyed it.  it's slow going (never been much of a runner) but no big issues until this week.

I "suffer" from morton's toe only on my right foot.  There was always a little discomfort when running the first 3 weeks of the program but nothing that would even be close to described as pain.  Yesterday I ran day 1 of week 4 (with 3 and 5 min runs) and by the last 5 min section my right 2nd toe was in a lot of pain.  It seems to be because the toe presses down on the lip at the front of the toe pocket since that's right where it hurts and the pain did go away shortly after finishing the run.

I searched the forums and didn't find anyone who said they modded a pair of Bikila (or LS) and only a few have asked.  Some concerns were expressed at the pods on the bottom of the toe causing issues.

Anyone try this mod or have any tips for doing it?  Other than my one toe the Bikila LS have been awesome and I've really enjoyed it.

I did some mod to my bikila ls: with a hair dryer I heated the second toe sole so that the glue softened and then teared the sole. Then with shoe goe reattached the solewith more space.... I think that it would have been better just to size up. This was my firstpair of VFF. I've got 3 more and got them size 45. The Bikila ls is size 44.
