hiya. I'm new here and I have a challenge for you I've been invited (mandatory family thing) to a function where I'm required to wear high heeled shoes. sooo.... here's the challenge: modify a pair of VFF Classic into a pair of high heed shoes. any ideas?

That would be interesting to see, although I would definitely giggle a little since its nothing ive ever seen before. I guess my idea would only consist of somehow taking the VFF from the ball of the foot up to the toes and figure out a way to attach it to the shoes lol.

I would be leery or ruining a perfectly good pair of Classics. Any sort of attachment method that I can think of would likely damage the sole. Besides, adding a heel to a VFF is counter productive. You might as well just wear the heeled shoe.

If you want to make a point, how about wearing toe socks with high heel shoes? Some suppliers do them for ladies in over-knee lengths and in garish colours too. I'd hate you to ruin some perfectly good VFFs.

Skip all of this... just wear the heels and do what every other girl does at these events. take the heels off. When you go to a wedding every girl is barefoot by the time of the reception.

"Required" to wear high-heel shoes!? If I were you, I'd find another party did not have compulsory torture-wear!

yuck I'd cause a massive and annoying family schism if I didn't do the heel thing. NO WAY am I wedging my toes into a pair of high heels. another factor... I have a pair of black classics that I destroyed the heel on. yet another factor... my 98 yr old aunt would get a H3LL of a kick out of the "rule bending" part of high heeled VFFs so a pair of sandals, huh? I shall look around and thank you!

might I suggest you don't follow this thread any longer? I have a pair of destroyed classics that need heels I have an event involving having to wear high heel I have no problem looking "ridiculous" I have no intention of "sucking it up" I AM going to attempt a modification and, as per requests, I will post my progress this may cause you distress it may cause someone else to giggle and it may be interesting

NoraKate: Im all about you trying this modification and think it would be interesting to see as you post the progress. When you first metioned it, I saw it as a type of rebellion of it being "mandatory" to wear high-heels at a family function (am i correct in saying this?) I for one am a big fan of rebellion and bending the rules.
The fact that she has a pair of destroyed classics means that she wouldnt be wasting any money and honestly, really arent worth anything anymore....so why not cut them up? Im sure she understands that adding heels to a minimalist shoe would make it no longer a minimalist shoe. Stand out and look ridiculous? 75% of society think the shoes look ridiculous and we already stand out.
