Hello All,  I have not had any trouble with my kso's or my treks, but (knock on wood) when I do I will try "5200"  this is a marine adhesive made by 3M used in boatbuilding and it is super permanent and remains flexible.  It comes in a typical caulking tube and goes for 8-10$ per tube.  It does take a long time to cure, 5-7 days to be damn sure.  When and if I need it I will let folks know how it works.
"Sikaflex" is another brandname of boat adhesive that is very similar to 5200 that I have used to repair some super old car tires from the thirties that still had an intact innertube in them.  The tires were sun rotted so that the tube would bulge out at 20psi and so I deflated the tire, put the Sikaflex right to the rotten spots waited a couple of days and there she was.  I fixed about five spots like this in one tire that is on a timber cart used to carry big timbers like 24 foot 9x9's.
That was a year ago and after we built our timberframe and they are still holding up.

All this to say,   Sikaflex and 5200 may be an important addition to anyones VFF repair kit.

Hope this helps

Thanks bryan i was also looking at the line of 3M glue for whenever the day comes that i'll need to use glue and this sounds like a good one to use. If you ever use it on your vibrams, i'd love to know how it works. Welcome to the forums!  Smiley

Welcome to the boards. Where can one average Joe in a small forsaken town find such a sticky substance?
