Should I be worried?

I got a new pair of KomodoSport recently and I noticed this after my third day in them:



I've never had any problems with manufacturing quality on past Vibrams (I own a KSO, another retired KomodoSport and Bikila) but this makes me uneasy; when I got them I quickly glanced it over to make sure everything is alright and - besides the discolouration on the outersole which doesn't bother me that much - I didn't see anything problematic but apparently I missed this. Whatever that white stuff is, it's solid; at first, I thought it was fabric but it's more like hardened glue.

Anyways, should I be worried about that seam breaking down? I'm still within the 90 day exchange period but I'd really hate to return it since I'm out of US (Canada) and shipping/customs is expensive.

I don't mind the discolouration on the outsole/pads at all.

Hi Blue Vector,

I just purchased a pair of LS Komodosports that have the same issue.  The only separation is on the the right shoe, inside of the pinky toe.  After a mile run and 5 days of walking in them, I haven't noticed any further deterioration or separation to the seam.  I've decided to keep them since the issue doesn't affect the functionality of the shoe.
