Hey everyone. I've been a mostly recreational runner since I was 16 (25 now). Found out about this site about a year ago and decided to join the forums just last week.

A little about me. I was in cross country in high school. Had stopped running when I entered college then started up after I developed migraines. My doctor suggested regular exercise as an alternative to medication.

I started running barefoot roughly 6 years ago as I could not find a running shoe that would work for me (or with me). The only run I usually run is the Race for the Cure. I have never registered for an official half-marathon, but ran the distance a few times to test myself. I'm actually thinking of doing the half portion of the Rock 'n Roll Marathon.

I have two pairs of Vibram KSO's for running/casual wear, but still prefer barefoot as I grew up that way (playing soccer, training for cross country, hot summers).

Aside from the above I'm also a guitarist, singer-songwriter, grad student, and a computer 'geek' (I build and repair computers). Thank you for allowing me to introduce myself!

Hello Jake, about:
I was in cross country in high school. Had stopped running when I entered college then started up after I developed migraines. My doctor suggested regular exercise as an alternative to medication.
Good for you (the natural medicine)
Greetings  Smiley
