Hey!

I've been reading posts on birthdayshoes.com now for a few months, and decided to swap my classic Converse for a pair of Merrell's Trail Gloves, inspired by the minimalist footwear posts and discussions.  Although I'm not a runner, I really liked the Trail Gloves for casual wear.  Looking for an even more minimal shoe, I decided to try a pair of Classic Five Fingers.  I got them today, and decided to do a quick lap around my back yard.

Wow. Walking and jogging over black top, moss, tree roots, grass, fallen pine needles ... awesome.  I hadn't planned on joining the forums here, but after that quick walk (which spontaneously turned into a run around my back yard) I had to post.  When I get back to campus in a few weeks (I'm working on a biochemistry major at the University of Scranton) I suspect I'll be wearing my pair of VFFs until the snow comes.

Again, wow.
