Greetings from Arizona

Hey all!

I'm new to these boards, but definitely not BirthdayShoes. BS was a major player in getting me into VFF's last year. I bought a pair of black KSO's last May, and I can count the number of times I've worn my old sneakers since then on 1 hand (and I used to really like them).

I decided to look into VFF's after spending a whole day barefoot in the woods (barefoot-friendly, sandy floodplain woods). I clambered over fallen trees, jumped across streams, played on a waterfall, and by the end of the day 2 things happened. I decided that my clunky shoes were pointless, and I wore a really nice hole in the sole of my heel (not a tapered, worn-down hole, but a ragged cross section hole. It was kind of weird).

So I did a lot of research and picked up some KSO's. I've been rocking them in Arizona since September. They've taken me through Costa Rican jungles, up mountains, across boulder fields, and into a lot of grocery stores. I look forward to being part of this community!
