They should make a zippered version of the KSO. A vertical zipper on top of the KSO would make getting them on quicker and possible easier.

That is a VERY good idea! What do you think of the Sprints?

To help with the spikey vertical thing at the heel, wear a bandaid, or moleskin, or tape on your heel.  Your foot should get used to it within a couple weeks.

Thanks, I am thinking this might be what I have to do.

A zipper model would ideally be a very slight diagonal off to one side of the shoe. Straight zippers in the center of an article of clothing causing bunching and curving unless they are pulled perfectly taut (think of jackets and jean zippers). They place them the way I mentioned on some jackets for archery so that it doesn't get in the way of your bow.

I go barefoot, but my dog wears shoes.

A diagonal zipper might function better, I don't really have zippered shoes.

I don't have sprints. I tried them on at the store, but again the lower vamp made my feet look fat (I'm kind of vain about that). I could also see the top strap irritating my foot since, but most people don't have that problem. The two straps on the back of the foot were different and would take some getting use to. I didn't feel like the sprints were as comfortable as my KSOs. Also, I felt that the w39 were a bit snug and the w40 too large.

I'm still considering sprints, but will probably wait for the bikilas, but only if the women have a better color choice than orange/pink. Tongue

Personally, I just like my entire foot covered. I mean, before I got my Vibrams, I wore Birkenstocks a lot, so in that sense I'm fine with the openness. But if I'm going to be wearing a shoe rather than a sandal, I prefer the top of my foot covered.
