Starting out as a non-runner but hope to do a marathon and then some by the end of this year, haha.

I'd recommend easing into using your VFFs, especially if you're a non-runner.  The end of the year is too soon for a full marathon.  If you search the forums you'll see that a lot of people have been injured because they did too much too soon.

Thanks for the advice! I'm listening very carefully to my body, so far it's going ok. The marathon is just a motivation to keep me going, but no pressure if I can't make it, haha.
