Teesside here back at the local university and wearing my vibrams with pride. Had the odd question from the guys i study with one of them has even looked at them before he saw mine, so maybe some converts only 1 person in the class thought them strange all the rest think them cool.

To be honest strangers just stare at them and not say anything as they pass by, I've only been asked once. In london I get more questions. My friends think they're hilarious... before they realise they are pretty cool.
Perhaps I should do the kilt-VFF combination more often:D

Hello all, I am English - from Manchester originally but moved to the US (NYC) about 6 years ago. My dad lives in Yorkshire so I am looking forward to going back and going for a run round the moors in my VFF's. Any other ex - pats on here?

Hello from West Yorkshire. Possibly near to harrino's dad, but a distance from ap19's friend.
Anyone knows why VFFs cost so much here compared to across the pond?

Because they can charge that much. There's a huge mark-up the European distributors put on VFFs. Vibram has given some lame reason, which I can't remember. But you would think that since Europe is closer to China, where they make VFFs, that the cost should be about the same if not cheaper than the US. Also Vibram is a Italian company, but it seems that VFFs are through Vibram USA, which is in America. Bottom line it's all about profit and price gouging.
