Hi everyone, my name is César (or Caesar) and I am mexican, born in Chihuahua City (yep the Raramuri/Tarahumara land), studied in Monterrey, postgraduate in Austria and Germany, worked in Austria, until Dec. 2010, came back to Mexico trying to find a job, nothing yet... so I am starting to look away once more.

In the meantime I started running again, slowly increasing my kms, and got the crazy idea to run the Chicago Marathon 2012 ( I was never much of a runner, now I wished I had taken advantage from the Alps while I lived there). Avid mountain biker. Used to play semi-professional racquetball.

I am a recent convert to VFF, I have been running 3 days a week (3 weeks now) with my Komodos LS, and I am sold, I never had much of a calf no matter how much I trained, but now they are strong, and my ankles and knees dont hurt anymore while running.

Also considering the NB minimus trails mt10, for the agressive desertic trails (full of babygoats and gotheads) around Chihuahua city, I seriously doubt that the VFF can take it.

=)

Well thats pretty much it for an introduction. Nice to slowly meet you all!

Anyone has run a marathon with VFF?

Welcome to BirthdayShoes!  Someone posted a few days ago that they ran a full marathon recently in VFFs.

Bienvenido! Sounds like you're quite the world traveler. Vibrams is coming out with a new trail shoe next month, the Spyridon that might work for the terrain you run in. I'll be getting mine next month.

Haven't done a marathon at all and I've only gone 7 miles in my VFFs so far. I know that there are some folks here that have, as Jmijares said. You might also check out the barefoot forum at runnersworld.com and barefootrunners.org.
