I've found Vivo's so inconsistent with sizing that I've kind of moved on. Two identical shoe models in the identical size can be drastically different in my experience.
2  General Category / Feet and FiveFingers Accessories and Alternatives / Finally jumped on some Innov-8's - Half Off Today at TheClymb on: August 31, 2012, 11:46:39 AM
As much as I love my Bikila's, I've decided to grab some shoes for Crossfitting and other runs.

Picked up a pair of Innov-8 F-Lite 195's at the Clymb - half off today. Shameless - but here's my invite link.

I'm also going to grab a pair of NB Minimus - can anyone tell me if the toebox spreads a bit? The don't have a wide in-stock locally and my foot is right on the edge, but it's a nice solid cozy fit.

Cheers

I grabbed another pair of oaks. The runners I wanted sold out fast. Oaks are prob my all time fav casual shoes. I wear everything vivo in 44 and I'm torn if the runners will be a tad big since everything except my suede aquas are a tad big....

Anyone have experience comparison of runners to oaks and aqua sizing?

just an FYI, after ordering it told me I could expect my shoes by July 8 and the long delay is because they make these "Deals" with the manufacture.... the after-purchase email says something like "Our customers thing this is fine considering how great of deal they get"

Thanks so much! I just scored a cheap pair of Vivobarefoot Dharma's... Debating the Evo 2 purchase.

FYI - $1.00 shipping code can be found with a quick google search.

Pretty sweet.
9  General Category / Birthdayshoes.com General Discussion / First Half Marathon on Sunday in my VFF Bikilas on: September 24, 2010, 02:29:26 PM
I wimped out last year and ended up wearing running shoes.

This year, I'm only packing my Bikilas..

I'll let you know how it goes.
10  Barefoot Activities / VFF, Barefoot, or Natural Running Discussion / I should NOT be running barefoot he said... on: June 10, 2010, 01:14:17 PM
Yesterday I had my first appointment ever with a chiropractor. I had a little lower back pain and I wanted to see if he and some electric ultrasound could work it out.

During our initial discussion he asked about habits and exercise. I told him I ran barefoot or in VFF's. He made me do all sorts of weird poses and then proceeded to tell me that I didn't have the body or biomechanics to run barefoot.

I found it interested since I used to run with shoes and experience a lot of pain. Last year I jumbled when running my fair half-marathon... Do I run in my VFF's or shoes? Because I had never ran the distance I panicked and ran in shoes. I had swollen ankles and was out of running for almost 2 months after that.

Since then I've run exclusively barefoot. Since then I've had zero injury. Zero pain. Zero strain.

The only issue is this lower back kink which I am attributing to working at my desk all day and a ton of driving we've done lately.

Anyways, just felt like sharing this.

My toes are def. snug tight against the pockets. I've ordered a 43 and will give them a go.

Meh.
I ordered one size up.

When they arrive I'll make a final decision.

The more I keep the bikilas on my feet the more I wonder if I can pull these off. They are super tight in the toes right now especially the big toe, but with a bit of stretch they could be perfect.

Going a size up I might end up in that same situation too big.
I dunno.. Silly vibram.
14  General Category / Vibram Five Fingers Sizing and Fit Discussion / Re: Do these fit right? on: May 12, 2010, 06:06:13 PM
I just got my bikilas - same size as KSOs and they are very tight. I think I need to take em for a run to find out.

I am SOOO torn about what to do. On the one hand they are snug as a glove. I couldnt wear socks with these if I wanted too.

One the other - they are kinda tad nice this snug. Going up a size might be a big mistake.

Not sure.

THats what I though Jimmy. THey are physically shorter though when measured with a tape measure.
I'm going to have to size up I think.
