I think someone just missed the W off the front of the name  Roll Eyes

I believe they missed the "St" in front of the name.

I teach in mine daily.  (highschool)  The kids love them.  I mostly wear Black KSO's or Brown Treks.
3  General Category / Vibram Five Fingers Sizing and Fit Discussion / Re: Toe Stuffing on: October 17, 2010, 07:56:47 AM
My KSO's have a bit of extra space in the last 2 toes.  It is not a problem.  I have not stuffed them nor felt a need to do so.

The thing I like about the Flows is they heighten my toe-awareness, as they are toe-constricting. I fancy them much more than I would have thought before buying.

I get that toe awareness sensation when i wear my kso's with socks.

I give myself a lot of foot massages & that seems to keep pain away & minimize it when it shows up.  I manually flex my foot with my hands, working each toe individually, sort of like a rolling wave.
6  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Cheaper alternative to injinji socks? on: August 18, 2010, 05:55:00 PM
A less expensive alternative is not the same as a knock off.  A knock off is an imitation product that illegally uses a logo or brand name in order to trick consumers.

There are many brands of toe socks.  Some more costly, some less.  None of them will ruin your VFF's.

HIPPOCRITES!!!!  all you all!  you blast the cheaper VFF knockoffs, yet you want to get cheap toe sox?  unbelievible?!?  pony up for the good stuff.  you spent a small fortune on your VFFs.  Spend a little more to get quality sox that wont ruin your VFFs.

It is not the same thing at all. No one is looking for knock off Injinji socks; only a less costly sock.  Besides, have you checked to see if every commenter who has discussed toe socks has also commented on knock off Five Fingers in order to ensure your claim that we are all guilty of what you accuse?  Seeing as how you are here calling us all names, you must know for certain.
Do you believe it not possible for there to be a quality toe sock that is less than $12.00?

8  General Category / General Discussion / Re: STARTING TO GET IRRITATED BY SO MANY SILLY QUESTIONS!! on: August 17, 2010, 04:54:06 PM

Any suggestions on how to cultivate the patience to deal with the irritation?  Any tricks that people have found to cope with the questions - and questioners?

I just remind myself of the fact that many people have never seen anything like them & mentally prepare for the reactions.
Sometimes I calmly, politely, and subtlety call people out for being rude.
For example:
Person: Those are the weirdest looking thing I have ever seen.
Me: Gee thanks.
Person: Well I mean, they are so cool..... ladeedadeeda....

It seemed she felt like a real jerk for speaking without thinking.
If I feel like talking a bit more, I tell them that shoes that resemble feet are not odd looking.  Shoes that make it seem like you have one big toe with a giant toenail are weird.
Sometimes, I just smile and nod, thinking about the 30 or so pages of forum responses in the section on bystander comments.

I suppose I will be the first, assuming one of my 5 pairs needs replacing before someone beats me to it.  I will be sure to have a detailed write up along with photos.

You have to be a saint in order to not "snap" at a fellow human being for asking you a question?
11  General Category / General Discussion / Re: New Bikilas!!!! Are you having the same problem? on: August 15, 2010, 07:29:37 AM
It is more common than you would like to believe.

Hanes cotton socks are no where near the quality or performance level of injinjis, that is why you can get so many for the same 84$

Perhaps you could put the heel strap of the gaiter under your bare foot before putting on your shoe.
14  General Category / New Members Say Hello! / Re: Best VFF to cover all my bases? on: August 10, 2010, 05:42:54 PM

I am a bit biased towards the TrekSport because it is not made out of thick leather. I'm not a vegan, or vegetarian, (I LOVE A GOOD STEAK) but the TrekSport is much more breathable.

The treks are not made from thick leather.  It it quite thin and very soft and comfy.
15  General Category / Vibram Five Fingers Mods and Repairs / Shortening toes on: August 10, 2010, 05:20:10 PM
Has anyone tried to make toes shorter?  My last 2 toes in my black KSO's have extra room.  I was thinking about taking a razor blade and cutting the toe open, removing about a centimeter and using some kind of rubber epoxy to re attach.
I will likely wait until I have a second pair.  I may get a used pair and try the method before taking the chance of ruining my good ones.
