Observed more carefully. The "Seam" inside near that area of the KSOs is nicely flat and flushed against the wall on the left one.

Whereas its "ruffled" & "frilly" & "Raised" on the right one.

What do I do now? Should / do I need a replacement?

1) start with the obvious like tear and broken, usually VFF's are pretty good. I just got mine they are problem free.

2) you can start walking in them, then running increase the distance little by little. its hard to make your feet used to them since you havent used them the way the are supposed to be for a long time. dont overdo things is what I recommend.

Quick look yesterday and did not see any tear etc. I am more so point at the kind of protrusions / internal seam extra prominence that would incuce "shoe bites" in a leather dress shoe.  

I am feeling that in both shoes near Arch-Ends & Heel-Begins area near the inner edge of the bottom. Rather subtle & not that prominent in the left shoe, quite prominent in the Right shoe. With the left shoe if I take my mind away I cant sense it, with right one its a "poking" reminder.

My last toe permanently bows down as if to bow for the "shoe roof". Its a funky permanent bend that as obvious as it may be, I never noticed.

In short I conclude... the modern shoe is bad for the human foot. It scrunches and shapes the foot as per its "aesthetic" design. It makes the normal spread of the foot / toes unnatural.

Which of these are suited for hot humid weather?

I have the same issue. Fits just right on big toe, loose on others

I just got VFFs KSO Blacks 42.

My Big Toes fit right under the upper lip of the sole and I dont feel any pressure from the END but some from the top.

On the other hand, all the other Toes are loose.. and get more lose as I go from the Big Toe to the Pinky. In fact, my Pinky toe is too small for it

I am guessing I cant go up or down in size?

Going up: Other toes get more loose.
Going down: Big Toe gets super tight.

Note: Toe 1 (Big Toe) and Toe 2 become tight inside the toe pockets when I scrunch / pull my toes upward from the floor. Else, I think its a relaxed fit.

there are no copyright issues here, this is about trademark infringement and patents. and no, vffs are not part of the human body, they aren't even replicating a function of the human body.

Yes yes.. I'll change the words - Trademark, Patents.. etc.

Trademark - No one should use their name.

Patents - A huge number of American Pharmas keep trying to and keep patenting herbs & medicines that have a daily use & know how in India - esp Ayurveda.
They've filed and done so for Tulsi, Neem, Haldi (Turmeric). The only way this was prevented was that some alert/aware person in the Indian Government (who is lazy & corrupt) noted this and dug up ancient documentation that is pretty much HOUSEHOLD EVERYDAY knowledge.

Part of the assumption is that NO ONE EVER ANYWHERE IN HUMAN HISTORY.. made or wore such footwear? I digress.

I understand the need for Patents but not in a lot areas. Lot of them are exploitative and undue.

PS: If you created the newest cryogenic space rocket, I get it. But if you're patenting AIDS / Cancer drug for which the cure was KNOWN and existent in a HERB in some Amazonian rain forest.. then.. I am sorry.

Corporates will do anything to save their "so called" intellectual property but in the Onus of responsibility.. Nowhere to be found. There are tons of corporates doing tons of stuff in developing / 3rd world countries that would be considered ILLEGAL and has been banned in the US & Western world.

e.g. Medicines, Chemicals, Etc that are made, used, sold, dumped that have been banned and labelled as toxins.

I like the fact that VIBRAMS created a mass produced shoe that fits your foot like a glove. But dont tell me that some guy has a PATENT on GLOVES for your foot.

Its a NATURAL progression. Someone will create something that will FIT your ears or eyes very well... you cant patent that and prevent something from making something THAT FITS THE HUMAN BODY better. Hell.. it could be a special jock strap to cup your ..well.

Just another perspective from someone whose spent time inside Fortune 10,20s seen Corpporate Political Lobbies do what they want outside the western world.. and exploit the less privileged. .. Be it blood diamonds, latin american oil & vegetation exploitation (Dole).
