32  General Category / Vibram Five Fingers Sizing and Fit Discussion / Re: Trek LS Sizes on: August 10, 2012, 11:50:19 AM

For what it's worth, I am a 40 in Speeds but I need a 41 in the Trek LS(brown).  I bought the brown Trek LS in 40 and need to swap them for a 41 today after work.  So in my limited experience with these style of shoes the trek ls runs a little small.  This could have to do with my foot in general and not the shoe itself though.  I'm really not sure.

The speeds run small, and I think they have the same patterns.

Use them until finished and replace them as needed with the minimalist ones.

Just do it, you do not have to put a goal for... that or this date, just start running and that is it.
It will work best like this.

Are you using socks?  For me, the socks have been a solution.  Besides, new shoes have to be dug in, no matter if they are the same model.  Tell us how it goes.

They have a mesh, it is somewhat stretchy but I do not know how stretchy you need.  Those two models are "the" thing...

As I know, the absorption is more by the "non heel impact" strike, and the treks are thicker because they are designed to be used in country runs where there are stones, and logs and the such.  The sole thickness should not be as important if one makes the forefoot strike.  I think the komodos are the only model with insoles <removeble at least> but the insole addition could be a solution.  I like more the treks ahtan the bikilas, but to decide it would be best to try them both and feel them.
keep us updated on what you do
