I was just watching the season finale of Weeds and to my suprise one of the characters was wearing castle rock/verde classics!!! Throughout the remainder of the show they kept refering to them.
well they would be my 5th pair... so if the Komodo's are not too far off I would gladly wait for them. If they do not seen be scheduled for release until late 2011 I would probably go ahead and get some trek sports, then eventually later on get the komodos. I currently own KSOs(2 pair), Classics, and Bikilas. Every pair has their uses... just looking to add another pair to the collection.
I was wondering if there has been any news on the release date of the Komodo Sport? Aside from the original pre release info page here, I have heard nothing... I am still debating on if I should wait for the Komodo of go buy some KSO trek sports...
I expect the komodo sport to suffer from the bad quality control issues of all recent vibrams (i'm talking to you bikila). Be sure to buy local to minimize return shipping costs.
I think all of these claims of quality control are a little overblown. I own 8 pairs of #VFF and my wife has 7 pairs. Together we have 4 pairs of Bikila and have never had a single issue with any of our 15 FiveFingers. The most recent being Speeds we imported from the UK which seems to be the best quality of all. Love the fabric on the speeds.
I agree... I own 4pairs, do everything in them, and have never had any problems that I read about on here.
I cant wait for them to come out! I will for sure be getting a pair(Yellow/Black). I currnetly use my classics and Bikilas as every day wear, run in my 2 pairs of KSO'sl, but the Komodo will be used strictly for Training...
I just got home from the gym and turned the TV on. I switched over to TBS then saw Lopez tonight was on, I was just about to change the channel then heard Thomas Jane was the first guest. Knowing he is a big VFF supporter I continued watching. When he came out George Lopez was wearing a pair of grey/red bikilas and Thomas jane was wearing a pair of brown treks. they talked breifly about the shoes(all positive). The best part... "they allow you to walk how God intended" - Thomas Jane.
Usually I get "where did you get those? I've heard about them but never seen them"...
Dont want to thread jack but... Yesterday I was walking into my local Walmart and saw another VFF wearer. He was a teenager with his mother, probably doing back to school or college shopping. I happened to tap him and say nice shoes, hinting at the fact that I was wearing my Bikila's. He responded in a grumpy manner saying "yea everyone has them now". Then his mother pointed out that I had them on as well. It was the first time I met another VFF wearer that was that grumpy, especially seeing that I also had them on.
When not working out, what do you wear with your VFF's? I'm curious how well the black or brown trek's do with jeans and such. The place I work at is fairly casual, an I may be able to pull it off. The more I run in Bikilas, the more I hate shoes.
Well lets see... ANYTHING you would normally wear when not working out.
have you found any no show toe socks that stop below the ankle? I've been looking for them, not to hard, but i thought i'd ask. I have the coolmax injinji's and they are a little snug in my KSOs but it isn't uncomfortable.
I too am in Dallas... I rarely see others wearing VFF's, but this past saturday I ran into someone at the gym, that had previously asked me about my VFF's, wearing them and we ended up talking for a bit then going on a run(~5K) together. I thought it was cool, it was like a pickup game, but for running...
