Who uses what?
I like my Garmin forerunner 305. Does everything I need it to do from a running point of view. Also like to take on holiday so that I can set a marker (hotel) so that I can find my way back if I get lost.

Used to run with a watch/heart rate monitor, and, more recently, with a just watch. Now, I don't wear either. And, of course, no iPod or similar device. (I'm the guy who doesn't listen to music, remember?)
I seem to run better without gizmos. But that's just me...

Like music but not when running.
Have on occasion forgot (rare) or deliberately gone out without the garmin. Strangely always felt I had had a great run but then have nothing to back it up with.
Did I run better because I had no record of progress and just went with the flow? or, Was it merely perception? Don't know.
When doing intervals I find it indispensable. Jason likes to know what is what

I use a GymBoss for intervals: http://www.gymboss.com/That's basically my only gizmo.

Do online apps count? If so, I use WikiWalki to track distance, elevation, etc. and put the data into a training tracker at Runner's World.

I want to get a gps watch for Xmas. I like the idea because if need be I can tell how far I've run and if need not be I can wait until I'm done to find out.

Primarily for KB intervals (doing drills like ATB uppercuts, swing/taps, ATB lunges, etc.), but also for Tabata intervals.

I carry my iPhone and use RunKeeper Free. The track data gets uploaded after each run to a well-done website that shows all the data from each run aggregated by week or month.
