So I've recently started having pain in the area circled in the attached picture.  I'm not sure exactly where the pain it, or whether it is at a point or along the tendon/ligament that runs along that area.  The pain does go away after a quarter mile or so.  I did some seated calf raises this weekend and it seemed to aggravate it a little to the point where it feels a little irritated when not running.  Last run was on Thursday, and it wasn't bad then.  I'm thinking about doing just 1 mile today to see how things feel.  Might go fully barefoot as opposed to VFFs.

Anyone have similar experiences or can offer insight?

Thanks

Nevermind, I've been able to better locate the pain and recreate what causes it.  See the new upload.  It hurts after my foot has landed on the ground, the heel has come down, and my foot and ankle form an acute angle as I'm moving forward.  Although when pressing directly on the area I don't feel pain like I typically would a sore tendon/ligament.  Any ideas?

a couple months ago - i woulda said ice it - nsaid and keep on truckin - having experienced many a vff related ache and pain from overuse - too much too soon, etc - i now say - get off your feet and do some exercise bike or alternate exercise and let it heal a bit - while minimalist running feels incredible - i would never go back to regular running shoes - the transition can create some new aches, pains, strains, what have you - so i would say take it easy and you'll be back out there soon enough (now if i can only follow this advice myself Embarrassed)
