Just finished the Houston marathon this past Sunday and although I had reservations about running the 26.2 miles in my Vibrams I decided to go ahead and do it. I ended up getting a PR! Here's my Race report: http://keepingthepace1.blogspot.com/2012/01/houston-chevron-marathon-2012-race.html

Here's my GoPro videos fully edited:

That's awesome!  Congrats!  Overall, how did that GoPro work for you?  And are you feeling any after-effects in your feet?  Just soreness, but no pain?

Congrats that's awesome.  I am only about 25.7 miles away from completing a marathon.  ahhh... the joys of being in week 2 of runningin vibrams and reading about people running marathons.  lol

Thanks guys. My feet were fine afterwards they were sore but after a day they were fine.  I went running the day after for a recovery run and now all the soreness is pretty much gone. Although I did notice in some of the pics that I may have been heel striking a bit towards the end when my form went to crap. The GoPro cam was awesome during the run it was like wearing a little bit oversized headlamp. I just finished editing all the video and it turned out pretty good for my first time doing that kind of stuff. You can check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/user/gokuflip?feature=watch There are four videos all about 10 minutes long but I added music and a bunch of editing so hopefully its interesting. Thanks guys for your comments.

@Justin B: You'll get there. It took me 3 months to run a 5k 6 months for a half and just about a year for this full marathon I just did. Just take it slow and easy and really focuse on your form and landing naturally with the foot underneath your body. Once I fixed my form I no longer had blisters, walked funny in the morning when getting up, and just enjoyed my VF5s even more.

Congrats! I'm also very far off from running even 10k BF but that's a great result. I'm a little jealous. Paitence young skywalker!  Grin
