Great article!
Even before I ever knew about 100 Ups (or other running techniques similar to the stepping over logs idea), this has always seemed a more natural way to run (and perhaps due my shorter legs, I also had little choice).
I cringe when I see people doing huge strides and heel striking. Many people never learn to run though - my assistant, despite running marathons and ultras (in regular shoes) is one of these! They often mistake long strides for being speedier. I will have to forward this to her.
Of course, it is usually those who are used to those huge strides who think/assume barefoot running is "bad" - including my aforementioned assistant's own physiotherapist.
