Hi all, I currently run in my kso's and love the ground feel, when running on pavement. This greatly helps me to have proper form and no joint soreness at the end. I want to start vamping up my kilometers per week. After I Poke a hole through them I am wondering if I should move to a bikilia, but I am worried about the ground feel in them. I think the extra padding could mess up my form. I have a pair if Komodo sports that I run in occosional outside on pavement, and they mute some ground feel. Do the bikilias offer better ground feel? Then my komodos? Thanks This was written on a iPhone, so sorry about spelling , random words and bad grammer

I have KSOs and used to have Bikilas. I'd say there's definitely a difference in ground feel. Might be enough to mess some people up and others not, but it's noticeable. Haven't worn komodos so can't compare there. Question - if you're happy with the KSOs, why change? Don't fix what ain't broken, right?

IMHO the Bikila's and Komodo's are similar in their lack of ground feel. If you like feed back and need something on your feet KSO's won't be beat... Hey, I just rhymed

With my kso's I can feel the gaps and crams in the pavement. This makes me run a lot lighter then in my komodo's? Will the bikilia mute the rough road pavement?

I put my KSO's on the other day and forgot how much ground feel they had. With the Bikila you will feel the groun, but it's not the same barefoot feeling as classics or KSO's. The first time I wore Komodo's I was amazed how different they felt because of the padding you get because of the insert

@ Frogshoes,
I believe the Bikila will have slightly better ground feel than the Komodos yes. If you want even more ground feel, the Speeds have the same sole as Bikilas and have less forefoot padding. If you are worried about the tie laces becoming a tripping hazard, you could always replace them with a speed lacing system. They are typically readily available.

Mr Leigh, Agreed.... If you want to feel temperature differences and the cracks in the road only the KSO's will provide that. Next best would be the speeds but your feed back will still be muted. For me and my thick head, I couldn't dream of running in Speeds or Bikilas for any real distance. Even the KSO's let me cheat too much when I get tired. It's the main reason I stay bare. It keeps me honest and when my feet are done I know the rest of me is also........

If you want better ground feel, go for the SeeYas. So lite and the ground feel is pretty awesome! I have Bikilas and like them but must say the SeeYas offer a really noticeable difference.
