One of the fun things about BirthdayShoes.com is in getting the chance to document all the Vibram Five Fingers fan user stories and photos that are submitted for publication. Over the course of the site’s existence, nearly two hundred stories have been documented across almost every model of Vibram Five Fingers out there. Below you’ll find a comprehensive list of all of these user stories by model. Seems people are doing just about everything you can imagine in their “barefoot shoes!”

Classic Vibram Five Fingers user stories

Vibram Classics are open-topped and secured to the foot by a bungee strap that cinches at the heel. They sport only a 3.5mm razor-siped rubber sole.

Sprint Vibram Five Fingers user stories

Sprints are open-topped Vibrams with three velcro-straps (1 over top, 2 at heel) which provide the airy feel and 3.5mm razor-siped rubber and zero-EVA sole of the Classic with a considerably more secure fit. Three-strap method a bit tricky to fit “just right.”

KSO Vibram Five Fingers user stories

The “does anything” VFF, the KSO is closed-top to “keep stuff out” with the standard razor-siped rubber sole and a 2mm EVA midsole.

Flow Vibram Five Fingers user stories

Flows combine a neoprene upper with the standard Vibram sole for a full-coverage, insulated VFF (Neoprene locks in moisture like a wetsuit—not waterproof!).

KSO Trek Vibram Five Fingers user stories

Most rugged Vibram available, the men’s KSO Trek combines a durable kangaroo leather upper with an aggressive, lightly-cleated rubber sole with a 4mm EVA midsole. Great for trail hiking or running, but less “barefoot” than other VFFs.

Moc Vibram Five Fingers user stories

The indoor-only Moc for men is little more than a kangaroo leather glove for your feet that has 7 Vibram rubber “pods” at key spots underfoot. This makes the Moc the most barefoot-like VFF (for men).

Performa Vibram Five Fingers user stories

The indoor-only Performa for women is little more than a kangaroo leather glove for your feet that has 7 Vibram rubber “pods” at key spots underfoot. This makes the Performa the most barefoot-like VFF (for women) None yet!

Whats up Barefooters, I work at Citysports and am a big supporter of the VFF. I got the chance to try the New Bikilas…they are very cool. I like them. I will get a pair to add to my other 4 pairs. however I did have to go down a size from my size 42 because the ankle was a little loose, other than that they are great. I will be there Saturday morning for the running clinic.the author of Born to Run will also be at the event for anyone that will be in the Boston area. it jumps off at like 8am with a run a little later. 4/17/10 be there if you can.

This morning I will be attempting something that I don’t think has ever been done in a pair of Vibram 5 Fingers Classics… Preaching! I’m a pastor of a church in Knoxville, Tennessee, and I’m hoping my mostly young congregation is open-minded as I bring the new series on Relationships in “open-toed” style!”

Did it! Preached in the Vibrams!! My congregation was very open to them, and even laughed along with me as I explained how Vibrams could be both an enhancement and a test of relationships! Now the question is, Was I really the first ever to preach in Vibrams?
