Emily, her husband Gary, and their 9 year old daughter are a family who all wear Vibram Five Fingers. Emily sent us these photos and notes on their active lifestyle:

This is my husband, a retired/ disabled vet, doing his 46K handcycle race in the Paralympic road race in Bend, Oregon last week… Gary can walk a bit, but generally gets around in a wheelchair. For all his biking events he wears his Vibrams.

Also, our 9 year old daughter just did her first tri, the Pacific Crest Splash, Dash and Pedal in Sunriver, Oregon and she wore, of course, her Vibrams.

We are a family with multiple sets of 5 Fingers!

Emily, thanks for sharing your story and inspiring us to get out and exercise!

Hailing from College Station, Texas (Home to Texas A&M!), I grew up running cross country. Believe it or not, I gave Justin the name for this site back in early 2009 but I didn't jump on the toe shoes bandwagon until a year later. I am also really into quadcopters and drones and have a blog called OddCopter.com.

It is great that you all take the time to do things together. My Son and I Wear our Five Fingers everywhere. We take them camping a lot.

I’m waiting for my boys to get old enough to get them a pair each. As of right now, I let them go outside barefoot, on grass frontyard, but sometimes they go on the driveway, which is gravel, and everytime they do that I just think, I wish they where older so I could get them these. They are 3 and 1 1/2 yrs so they have a ways to go. I can’t wait so we all have them like you!
