I grew up in the woods of North Louisiana, and inherited a love of the outdoors and a strong desire for adventure from my parents. Before I knew anything about endurance sports, I would hike for hours in the woods around our house, or for miles and miles on annual summer trips to the San Juan Mountains or Yellowstone. I married my beautiful wife in 2007, graduated from LA Tech with a MS in Electrical Engineering in 2008, and moved to Alabama for work that summer. After the move, my wife wanted to meet people by joining a running group, so I tagged along with her. It was through this group that I was introduced to the world of long distance running. Since August of 2009, I have completed 3 road marathons, 3 trail 50k, and a 50 mile race. In spring 2011, I decided make the switch to minimalist footwear and have been hooked ever since.
