As most of you know there can be different styles of Vibram FiveFingers released around the world. Sometimes the styles don’t make it to your neck of the woods. This is especially true when it comes to some of the European styles. It seems like the European market sees more unique styles then we do in America. Today we thought we would take a moment to feature some of the more elusive styles available on the market.

Read all about these hard-to-find FiveFingers styles and find out where to order them from after the break.

Carezza

The Carezza FiveFingers Boot

The Carezza is a kangaroo leather boot designed for women. It features a warm and natural fur lining that should help keep your legs warm in colder climates. The Carezza utilizes the Trek bottom for the sole which should provide more insulation from the ground cold then other VFF soles. This boot looks to be an excellent option for the fashion forward FiveFingers wearer. The Carezza was designed for women and is available in women’s sizes only. The Carezza costs €291.51 (pre VAT) which is around $400 USD.

Reports show that only about 300 of these boots were produced. You can find them on the Italian FiveFingers website Keep in mind they do not ship to America so you need to know someone in Europe who can forward the shoe to your address.

Classic Paillettes

The Classic Paillettes FiveFingers

The second shoe we are going to look at is the Classic Paillettes. Interestingly enough the word Paillette means: a small shiny object applied in clusters as a decorative trimming. The Classic Paillettes lives up to it’s name. This is a new version of the regular Classic style that features the edition of sequins along the upper of the shoe. This model also appears to be made in women’s sizes only. It could be the perfect casual yet elegant edition to your collection for only €81.80 (pre VAT) or roughly $112 USD.

You can find them on the Italian FiveFingers website Keep in mind they do not ship to America so you need to know someone in Europe who can forward the shoe to your address. There is also a chance that you can find them on the Italian eBay site and some of those sellers will ship to America.

Womens Bormio

The Bormio FiveFingers

Unfortunately only American men get to bask in the joy and comfort of the Bormio boot. Vibram did not release a women’s version to the American market. This means women with smaller feet can not wear the Bormio. After a little research though it looks like they produced a limited quality of women’s sizes in the Bomrio in black. From personal experience I will tell you the Bormio is a fantastically comfortable boot. The Bormio features all leather toe pockets which help keep you dryer in wet environments. The Bormio is also lined with a soft felt fabric that helps keep your feet warm in colder climates. If you feel left out that you can’t wear the Bormio you can pick them up for 1.999,00 DKK (Danish Krone) or roughly $371 USD.

You can find them on this website Keep in mind they do not ship to America so you need to know someone in Europe who can forward the shoe to your address.

KSO Trek Soft Leather

The KSO Trek Soft Leather FiveFingers

Lastly we have the KSO Trek Soft Leather. This shoe features the body styling of the KSO Trek but with a different leather for the upper. This version of the KSO Trek uses the same kangaroo leather that is in the Bormio and the Trek LS for the upper. This should provide a even softer feel and expensive look to the KSO Trek styling. I can’t tell for sure but it also looks like it features an all leather toe pocket similar to the Bormio and Trek LS. That could be a big bonus when it comes to the ability to wear these shoes in wet environments. This version of the KSO Trek was designed for men only and looks to be unavailable in women’s sizes. If you are looking for a more elegant version of the KSO Trek then this is your shoe. You can pick one up for €131.50 (pre VAT) or roughly $180 USD

You can find them on the Italian FiveFingers website Keep in mind they do not ship to America so you need to know someone in Europe who can forward the shoe to your address.

Wrap

These are just a few of the styles that are available in the European market but not available here in America (Another – the Flow Trek). Remember that the European site will not ship to American customers. They will however ship to someone in Europe. If you have a relative or friend that lives in Europe you could send the shoes to them and they could forward them on to you. Keep in mind shipping from Europe to America will start at around $40 USD and go up from there depending on the type/speed of shipping you pick. It could end up being a pricy transaction when you consider the price, plus tax, plus shipping to your European connection, and shipping from your connection in Europe to America. For some of us though it might be worth the investment.

Can’t say that I’m a fan of the Carreza’s look…but it would be awesome if they would take the concept of a WARM shoe and applied it to some of their running styles. That’s the only drawback to VFF’s even if you add some toe socks your feet will still freeze if you try to use them in really cold weather. I’ve even worn socks OVER them before, which helps if the ground is totally dry but if it’s wet (or like in snow) they just end up being wet cold wraps.

The Carezza looks fantastic. I would definitely wear that. Unfortunately I wear mens sizes so it wouldn’t work for me even if they were available in America. I really love the Classic Paillettes, too. I wear skirts with FiveFingers a few days each week and a sparkly pair of classics would be great. Again, I can’t imagine that will ever be available in mens sizes. Thanks for showing these different styles. It’s fun to see more fashion-forward FiveFingers as opposed to the mostly athletic styles available to me.

Good idea for an article, I could have added a few paragraohs I think. If you read well you will find there are 300 pairs of Carezza`s in existence. Rougly 100 on Vibram`s site, 100 in Milan`s store and 100 at the Danish site. You can find paillettes on Ebay.it, sometimes the prices are low and they DO ship to the US.

please remember that its plus vat+shipping to europe+shipping to usa, I initially wanted a pair of the carezza (which they dont have in my size–but that’s beside the point) I checked the price and it’s around 400 euro with vat and shipping. this amounts to about $550. a bit steep even for me, and I wear exclusively vffs.

Well I’m sad. I visited the European site and really hoped the Carezza would be available here in the states; it looked like such an exciting and promising VFF design for us girly girls. Although I’d also need it in a size 42 cuz i’m a girly girl w/ a large foot. I hope they release this design and some of the other new feminine designs in the spring in the states! Excited for all the new VFF designs….

Hi guys,
just a bit of compassion: I am in Europe and always have problems getting something from USA. So if anyone wants to order something from Europe and send it to me, I can forward it to you.

I know I am not your relative, but if you can trust a fellow barefoot runner to get your new VFFs, I am here to help 🙂

Send me an email to: matus (dot) marcin (at) gmail (dot) com

That really sucks that the Carezzas won’t be available here in the states. I was really looking forward to getting a pair. I have had to go back to regular shoes now because of the snow, now my feet hurt!! NOT FAIR!!

would love to have a pair of carezza’s trying even to go so far as to make a pair out of the bottoms of a pair of old treks i have cause they only make them in women sizes
